Eli Marias is a photographer, videographer, and artist. He picked up a camera in grade school and has been making images ever since. He believes that certain works of art represent our complex relationship to the world and that instantiation enlightens its viewers.
Eli's work explores the intersection of media and dogmatism. By focusing on moments of cognitive dissonance, he creates images that are humorous, dreamlike and exhilarating.
A native of California, Eli lives in Brooklyn and has a studio in New York City. He has traveled extensively in East Africa, Iceland and the US. He is an avid cyclist, enjoys good food, good drink and good company.
